Elegance and serenity are two of the best words to describe Lo Chen Design’s private residence in the Visionaire. Lo Chen is the founder and creative director of the firm developing projects in a diverse range of sectors, from hospitality to residential all over the world. Her designs showcase an immeasurable amount of passion and Chen always takes into consideration the client’s wants and needs.
In this case and through the use of contrast and colours, the designer is able to capture mesmerising features from settings to views. For instance, the Living room displays a spacious and vivid atmosphere mostly due to the floor to ceiling window as well as the drapery in light grey linen which adorns the window giving it its own style and warmth to the whole room.
Using colours such as white, blue and different shades of grey, Lo Chen created a sense of tranquillity which is complemented by all the elements of the room, from the comfortable and luxurious fireplace to the contemporary white framed mirror TV. Another notorious feature is the mobile ceiling lighting by Aqua Creation which was made from silk fabric and gives a sense of opulence to the interiors.
Lo Chen gives emphasis to modernity, texture and luxury through the selection of a white upholstered sectional sofa, a lively wool area rug, a modest white lacquer coffee table, two eye-catching ottomans, and soft throw pillows in grey and turquoise. In addition, the sofa can be turned into a queen-sized bed for guests to sleep in and if eventually. one is looking for more space, the coffee table can be folded in half.

Featuring an industrial modernist design, this piece has an encapsulated and transparent arrangement and it gives a feeling of levity.
The Dining room area is quite welcoming and chic due to a magnificent dining booth in dark grey crushed velvet. The Saarinen round dining table highlights an aluminium base with a Rilsan finish and a polished Arabescato marble top which is complemented by Fortnum tufted nailhead Parsons chairs. The walls typography decoration immediately jumps the eyes on account of the exceptionally curated organic glass bowls.
Like the living room, the dining room also has multiple functions, take, for example, the oriental-styled cabinets can be used as a mini-bar or as a buffet cabinet (left). To add even more charm, Lo Chen placed ceramic vases by Na Suen on the shelves to provide a sense of singularity and character to the area.
