Vista Alegre Receives Numerous Honours from German Design Award 2019 ⇒ The German Design Awards have recently unveiled the winners of the 2019 edition. Vista Alegre, a renowned Portuguese brand that specialises in porcelain and ceramic creations, was one of the main distinguished brands, having received three of the top honours as well as five special mentions, rounding up a total of eight awards.

Founded in 1953, each year, the German Design Council champions a series of products, brands and designers, that are a reflection of high-quality, craftsmanship and innovation.

The innovative E2h collection designed by Ross Lovegrove, which features exceptional designs such as Urqino, Nervi and Hyrb, the Art Crystal & Glass Única as well as the Saturn collection by Carsten Gollnick, comprised of a unique range of pieces exclusively made for hotels, won one of the most prestigious and international recognition in the world of design. The award was prized by the esteemed authority, the German Design Council.

Furthermore, Vista Alegre also received five other special mentions for the following exclusive designs: Gold Exotic tableware, the Hemisfério luminaire designed by Spanish designer Pablo Andújar, the Blue Ming bar collection in crystals by Marcel Wanders, the decorative plates collection: 2i as well as the Mariinsky tree jar collection designed by Katya Gerasimovabosky.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Vista Alegre has been distinguished for its innovation and skill in producing fine porcelain, crystal tableware, giftware, and barware creations. The official ceremony of the German Design Award 2019 will take place on the 8th of February at the Ambiente trade show in Frankfurt.
