The incredible Portugal Home Week took place from June 26-27, at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, in Portugal. Fully dedicated to the interior design industry, this international event was separated into two different sectors: the Home Show and the Home Summit. At the Home Show, you could admire the finest Portuguese luxury furniture brands on display, while the Home Summit held a series of panel discussions that focused on several relevant themes. Amazing brands like Wewood, Frato, Bessa Design, Maison Valentina and Covet House were present at Portugal Home Week’s Home Show. On the other hand, keynote speakers such as Karim Rashid, Zuzanna Skalska, Giovanni Ottonello, Magdalena Plonka, Pete Kercher and Nini Andrade Silva brought their insightful perspectives to the Home Summit.

Located in one of the most beautiful sites in the centre of Porto, Portugal Home Week completely delighted of all its visitors with a set of complementary initiatives such as the Home Party, the Startup Corner or the Design Lounge. For now, CovetED shares with you some of the unique furniture pieces that were showcased at the event.

Covet House

The Lapiaz round mirror takes exceptional craftsmanship and design to a whole new realm. Finding beauty in the most unexpected places, this contemporary design piece is inspired by authentic karst formations created by surface dissolution, freezing, or thawing of limestone or dolomite rocks. The organic features of this large mirror are achieved through the mdesign anual fitting of golden polished brass, finished with polished stainless steel. The hammered gold details and the mirrored façade conveys a beautiful duality between power and refinement to bring a new contemporary verve into interior design. A functional artwork piece that shows off its rich, golden details.

Pixel Cabinet is an effort to honour the union between design and craftsmanship. The 1088 triangles that complete this piece carry the dedication and art of those who built it – with a diversity of finishes never seen before. The polished brass base gives Pixel a unique personality, a strong and at the same time sophisticated character.

Maison Valentina

Like a perfect symphony, the Symphony Oval Bathtub was created. The gold plated brass tubes stand out on this oval-shaped design, giving it the elegant yet luxurious look you are searching for. The tub is made of white casted iron giving it a clean look that is perfect for any luxury bathroom project.
