Amsterdam Canal House was designed by Robin Toetenel and Ingrid Steyrer from Ethnic Chic which was established in 2004. The dynamic duo revamped the entirety of the house with a warm and glamorous touch, utilising many pieces from empowering brand, KOKET in the living room and bedroom. Overall its decor is best described by fully customed furniture, lavish fabrics and materials as well as quality craftsmanship.
The living room is distinguished by aubergine tones, high ceilings and large windows. Two Burlesque consoles were placed at either side of the area as its acrobatic polish brass hoops and exotic reptile embossed velvet gave extra spice to the decor – “The living room with a grandeur high ceilings and view on the canals, there could not be a better twist then the two crazy Koket consoles we proposed for this project. It really turned the whole living room around from being a beautiful setting to a place with a twist and character. I like that in specific pieces to have that kind of feeling. To add a bit of spice while playing it on the edge. It certainly worked for this project!” – Robin Toetenel
