2017 witnessed the birth of a new Christopher Guy’s Showroom in the heart of High Point Market. Celebrating its 10th anniversary in dazzling style, the luxury furniture brand opened a stand-alone state-of-the-art building in one of the most exciting launches ever in the history of the design event.

Christopher Guy’s Showroom is an artful expression of the brand’s aesthetic and a dramatic showcase for its elegant, sensual and sophisticated furnishings. “When I launched Christopher Guy in 2007, I established two goals. The first was to create products that had a certain Chanel‐esque spirit. Furthermore, I wanted to one day seek a location in the very heart of High Point, the epicentre of the US furniture industry. This year, we celebrate our 10th anniversary with the finished construction of our flagship store in High Point, which serves to greatly reinforce our brand’s image”, says Christopher Guy Harrison, founder of the brand.
The incredible two-floor architecture is a reflection of Christopher Guy’s timeless designs, and where a host of new exciting introductions is on view for the first time. The impressive ultramodern building, fronted by reflection pools, is located directly adjacent to IHFC and Showplace, in downtown High Point. The opening of the stand-alone 20,000 square foot centrepiece marked the brand’s decade celebration on April 21.
“High Point is a pivotal global furniture market with widespread recognition as an international buyers’ destination. It is an honour for us to be able to add such a distinct building to the city’s skyline, where our company takes tremendous pride in its participation with this vibrant community of industry peers”, Christopher says. “The showroom stands as the cornerstone for what we see as the creation of High Point’s very own Fifth Avenue, a natural expression of High Point Market’s position as the vital marketing and sales capital to the industry, rather than solely a manufacturing hub of times gone by. Our vision was to add a little bit of Manhattan sparkle while keeping the elegance and tradition of this historic furniture market”.
One of the first companies to enter the Internet world without disappearing from its brick and mortar locations, Guy Harrison focuses on both the physical and digital expansion of his brand. In creating the connection between the online and the in‐person encounters with the brand, Christopher says the company seeks perfect consistency. “As customers step through the grand entrance of the new showroom, we want them to feel the spirit of the Christopher Guy brand. Then, we want that experience to be seamlessly extended when they log onto CG online from wherever they are”.
