Ahead of the hotly anticipated opening of W Amsterdam, which seems to become the city’s newest hotspot, W London – Leicester Square will ‘go Dutch’ with a themed takeover to celebrate the launch in style. As a result, guests of the hotel will be transported to the heart of the Netherlands for a two-week long period with immersive design, a remixed Dutch menu, Dutch-inspired cocktails, film screenings and a number of Dutch bikes up for grabs.
W Amsterdam takes reference from the iconic Dam Square, with 238 stylish guest rooms in the Exchange building providing an elevated sense of space with high ceilings and wide windows. From hand-woven bedspreads designed by Bertjan Pot that depict small stories of Dutch culture, to curtains imprinted with classic Amsterdam canal houses and shower cabins inspired by traditional Dutch phone booths, each room will immerse guests in the city. The 66 sophisticated rooms and suites in the Bank building will have an exclusive look and feel with black and gold bedspreads inspired by the original bank vaults, and pillows that represent the distinctive Amsterdam windowsills.
