Designed by Studio KO, the Museum’s Design follows the Classic Fashion Style of Yves Saint Lauren. The façade of the building itself is elegant and struck by curves running alongside straight lines that mimics the weft and warp of an delicate fabric. It’s an elegant building that matches the pristine elegance of Yves Saint Lauren and his devotion to clean and classic lines.
The museum itself sits a short distance away from Jardin Majorelle, the popular home acquired by Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé in 1980 that served as lovers retreat for the couple. This is another point that brings Saint Lauren and this Museum a bit closer!
The major highlight of this museum is a large permanent exhibition space designed by scenographist Christophe Martin that showcases the best of Yves Saint Laurent’s Designs. If you are a fan of YSL, you’ll be amazed by this stunning exhibition.
