Remembering the Grand Opening of Bel-Air Fine Art’s First London SpaceTuesday 27 March 2018
Remembering the Grand Opening of Bel-Air Fine Art’s First London Space ⇒ Bel-Air Fine Art London opened its doors in January 2018 on New Bond Street and it’s actually the very first gallery of the prestigious group in the United Kingdom. Today, CovetED will recall some of the best moments from the gallery’s extraordinary grand opening which took place earlier this month.
The group hosted the grand opening of its new space in London featuring two solo shows, ‘Strength, Survival & Balance’ by Carole Feuerman and ‘Broken Reborn’ by Sandra Shashou. The selection of these artists reflects the gallery’s interest and expertise in contemporary art and 21st-century artists.
Feuerman’s “Strength, Survival & Balance” is a piece comprised of hyperrealistic sculptures. A pioneer in this artistic expression, Feuerman’s practice began in 1970, responding to the emergence of photorealist painting. She is renowned for her precision and captures the notion of natural beauty and inner peace in her sculptures.

London-based Shashou premieres a new body of work in “Broken Reborn’”, gravitating around the thematic concepts of destruction and regeneration. Shashou’s new body of work comprises arrangements of smashed fragments of vintage fine bone china tea sets, Russian Lomonosov porcelain, Spanish Lladro and Nao ballerina figurines, dating back to the 1940s, 50s and 60s. ‘Broken Reborn’ references bravery, courage and rebuilding after devastation with Shashou’s complex and intricate creations.
BAFA was founded in 2004 and has various spaces in cultural capitals, such as Paris, Venice and Miami. In addition, they exhibit internationally by bringing their artists to places like Switzerland, Italy and the Middle East. As a whole, the fine art group has 14th galleries spread all around the world.
