Nespresso Celebrates Lisbon’s Heritage Through New Tasteful Concept ⇒ After undergoing a renovation period, the unique Nespresso Boutique Flagship Store in Chiado, Lisbon reopened to celebrate and honour the city’s heritage, including two of its biggest trademarks, the seven hills and mosaics. The renewed store highlights the Nespresso Taste Lisbon concept, which in collaboration with renowned Portuguese Ceramic brand, Vista Alegre, consisting of creating seven exclusive tiles, each representing one of the city’s famed hills. These pieces can only be purchased in the store and were designed to act as cup bases.

Throughout the store, guests get to see tributes and allusions to the capital of Portugal, including packs of capsules whose packaging contains a foldable map representing the location in which beautiful mosaics can be found.
In the lower floor of the store, one can also find the Boutique Bar where one can combine any sort of coffee from the Nespresso professional range, including the famed Cappucino, Caffé Latte and Latte Macchiato with a cream cake. Dubbed as Coffee On the Go, this initiative is a first in Nespresso Portugal and has the purpose of allowing customers to enjoy the products while strolling through the streets of Lisbon.

The store no longer features upstairs counters, instead, it has interactive desks where customers and coffee specialists can exchange impressions more seamlessly and without separation.
Another novelty of the store is a sensorial area where one can explore what is inside a capsule, offering the possibility of feeling the smell and texture of the coffee before tasting it. Visitors can also benefit from masterclasses and tastings. In the official presentation of the newly restored store, visitors also had the opportunity to see the work of local artist, Eduardo Pedro, also known as Artista do Castelo, who was painting landscapes of the City, purely using coffee.
To conclude, Nespresso has also made sure to commit to ecological sustainability, by adhering to measures like drastically reducing their carbon footprint, using recycled aluminium lamps as well as energy and light systems designed to have particularly low consumption, and a dedicated space for consumers to recycle their used aluminium capsules.
