Maison et Objet 2018: The Reinvention Of The Fine Craft Exhibition Area – The organization of Maison et Objet decided to give new exposure in 2018 to the great potential offered by fine craft and to respond to new market challenges. Join CovetED and find out everything that is to know about this new project.
The organization of Maison et Objet put in place an ambitious project to revamp the CRAFT area, having commissioned Ateliers d’Art de France, in partnership with SAFI, to lead the mission to revitalize this space. For this year’s edition, prominent French architect Philippe Boisselier is proposing a brand new scenography reuniting the creative offer of fine craft workshops via their different markets and through themed exhibition pavillions: tableware, jewelry and fashion accessories, lighting and mural pieces, sculptures and collector’s items.
There also be a new place to settle back: the Café By Craft. This cozy place will welcome gatherings and events in a warm and friendly atmosphere. In this way, you can truly enter the amazing CRAFT’s experience an enjoy a quite singular world.
Designed to ensure a free-flowing visit for buyers, the CRAFT section also seeks to optimize exposure for exhibited creations, hence fittingly unveiling the great wealth and diversity of all of the fine craft professions.
In light of this professional renovation, the CRAFT section must be a stopping point for any visitor of Maison et Objet 2018. As we just tell you, you’ll find several exhibition areas presenting fine craft creations that can equally be in the form of monumental pieces or more intimate objects, be they to enhance the table or to captivate collectors of unique works.
