Lladró Meets Boca do Lobo: A tale of Porcelain and Exclusive FurnitureSunday 6 May 2018
Lladró Meets Boca do Lobo: A tale of Porcelain and Exclusive Furniture ⇒ What happens when a high-porcelain brand like Lladró and an exclusive design brand such as Boca do Lobo, with exclusive furniture pieces, decide to collaborate? Art and luxury interior design come together! And that’s why CovetED said yes when these brands invited us to a cocktail party, right in the center on Milan, next to the Duomo square, during Milan Design Week 2018, and today, we are going an exclusive look of the astonishing showroom.
The cocktail party took place at Lladró showroom, the place where we could see the combination between pieces of both brands and also speak with Guillaume Heuzé, from Lladró and with Vera Silva, from Boca do Lobo, to discover what was in the origin of this singular partnership.

“So, it all begin when Boca do Lobo and Lladró had a partnership in New York City, they had a partnership in a fair and it continued for their showroom”, explains Vera Silva, Boca do Lobo Brand Ambassador for the Italian Market. “Guillaume contacted us for the showroom in Milan”, says Vera Silva, and then was time for Marco Costa, Head of Design, to choose “pieces of Boca do Lobo to display (…) mostly pieces from Lapiaz Family”.
In the showroom, you can also find the iconic Chair Nº 11 and Soho Console combined with Lladró creation such as the spectacular Winged Fantasy, a limited edition of 250 units, the Geometric Panthers of the Origami Series conceived by the creative laboratory, Lladró Lab as well as the Paradise Vase, the biggest and most complex vase created to date by the historic art porcelain brand. Other pieces on display are moments tables, small home jewelry or the elegant Jamz lamps, inspired by the essence of jazz, between other inspiring lighting pieces.
Guillaume Heuzé, Global Interior Design Development Director in Lladró explained that this is “a long work, so two or three years’ work, it’s all handcrafted and these are very special pieces. Like the one that you see here, because they are close to art, so they are all limited edition and from the new collection. (…) As Boca do Lobo has been using very symbolic furniture we really wanted to use symbolic pieces and make everything concrete for a great lifestyle of interior design”. Guillaume Heuzé concludes: “you can see that you could buy a big piece like this because you see that on that console or on that buffet this piece fits perfectly”.
All these creations are perfectly integrated and allow us to discover the incredible decorative language of both firms that highlight an exclusive lifestyle in design terms.
