Brera Design District is known as one of Milan’s most important spots for the promotion of design. It may as well be the main place to have a clearer glimpse of Milan’s creative, commercial and cultural development being frequently known as a “Wonderland of Design”.

During the event, there are a variety of initiatives that bring life to the area, among them the yearly award Premio Lezioni di Design. This award is attributed every year to a person who has managed to distinguish him or herself in the Italian or international design field. It’s a prize that allows the sharing of experience, in order to inspire and encourage newcomers in the area of design to pursue their dreams.

If you pass by the area during Milan Design Week, you can find a spot where culture mixes with shopping and entertainment. You can find the highest density and variety of showrooms, galleries and many other types of spaces dedicated to contemporary design, art, and culture.

Right now, the district is accepting applications for temporary locations during Furiosalone. The participants have many options to showcase their design works, such as showrooms, shops, temporary stores, and unconventional spaces.
