2018 Best of BDNY Awards

The BDNY Awards were as fierce as ever where a series of design and manufacturers of products were recognised for their uniqueness and skill.

Dedon was distinguished Best in Show. The prestigious brand presented a wide variety of collection, including AIIR Collection, BREA Collection, CIRQL Collection and MBRACE Collection side tables, all of which stand out for innovation and originality.

When it comes to the architectural materials, Smith & Fong Co. Plyboo was the big winner. The Art & Accessories award went to ROOM360° by FOH, especially for the stainless steel ice bucket scoop/tong holder piece. In regards to bath/spa, the recipient of the award was Kallista, a luxury designer of faucets and fixtures that provides products in multiple styles suitable for any type of bathroom set.

MÉLANGE: ASSEMBLED BY STUDIO PARTNERSHIP ⇒ Mélange: Assembled showcases an assortment of design elements and materials crafted with the utmost care, to create an environment primed to host activities of education, entertainment, and relaxation.

OUROBOROS LOUNGE BY BAMO ⇒ With roots in ancient Egyptian iconography and Greek magical tradition, the ancient symbol of OUROBOROS shows a snake consuming its own tail in an endless circle.

REVERIE BY STUDIO 11 DESIGN ⇒ Reverie explores the relationship between planes of reality and a dream-like state, by inviting guests to journey into a realm not experienced in their daily consciousness.

ROOFTOP GARDEN PARTY BY DUNCAN MILLER ULLMANN ⇒ This space was positively in bloom, featuring vibrant floral carpet and inviting spaces to sit. Visitors were able to enjoy a fully immersive social and design experience.

As per usual, BDNY also hosted a comprehensive conference programme with CEU Sessions that included uber-inspiring panel discussions as well as skill-building master classes. In regards to the talks and conferences, many topics were approached concerning the hospitality industry and how one can provide the ultimate experience to guests. As a whole, the creative nexus offers a wide range of solutions, trends, inspirations, and much more, for one to succeed in their own business!
