Almacantar Reveals New Residences With Conran & Partners and MorpheusWednesday 7 November 2018
Almacantar Reveals New Residences With Conran & Partners and Morpheus ⇒ Almacantar has worked together with internationally renowned architect Conran & Partners and luxury interior design studio Morpheus to unveil the Centre Point Residences, a new landmark luxury residential destination for the West End, in the iconic 1960’s brutalist tower, Centre Point, which is one of the most well-known silhouettes on the London Skyline.
Almacantar has reimagined London’s iconic skyscraper as 82 incredible apartments and a spectacular 600 sqm duplex penthouse, offering residents unrivalled panoramic views across the capital and a once in a lifetime opportunity to live in a national treasure. Centre Point is the tallest and only luxury residential building of its kinds in the area and firmly marks the change in the West End’s development. A meeting point of the vibrant Covent Garden, Soho and Fitzrovia, the district is already known as a hub for the arts and cultural entertainment, with its 30 museums, galleries and 40 theatres.
As part of Centre Point’s transformation, Almacantar has also developed a pedestrianised square at the bottom of the building. The residences offer access to a number of premium services and amenities. These include a screening room, a fully equipped gym and studio, a spa, as well as a swimming pool overlooking Oxford Street. Formal meeting and grand dining rooms are also available as well as underground parking and 24-hour concierge that can be reached via a smartphone app.
“The word ‘unique’ is probably the most overused in the property industry; however, with Centre Point, we can say it with confidence. Be it the original brutalist architecture, the unparalleled views, the attention to detail or the proximity to the very best London has to offer; living in Centre Point is unlike anything else in London.” Kathrin Hersel, Property Director at Almacantar.
With its origins at the heart of the Swinging Sixties, Centre Point once again becomes the hub of creativity with its current reinvention, where design plays a pivotal role throughout the interiors. Almacantar makes a confident statement that the icon is being reborn with the involvement of the renowned British artists Conrad Shawcross, Gavin Turk and Richard Wentworth in the renovation of the iconic Centre Point letters, to the expert curation of art throughout by Patrick Morey-Burrows, Cerith Wyn Evans installation, interiors by Morpheus London, architecture and interiors by Conran & Partners and a penthouse by design studio Spinocchia Freud. Living at the Centre Point Residences is set to become as coveted and iconic as the building and area itself.
