Victoria’s projects have a unique story. In her portfolio, she explains the main inspiration of each one and talks about the results.
In the project we show you here, the designer’s goal was to create a beautiful and serene space for a young, creative girl. It’s a small apartment with well-placed mirrors which expand the walls and amplify the light. The interior design aimed to maintain the balance between the calm, creative energy and the purposed, functional details.
According to the designer, she chose to be an interior design due to her “will of making the world better.”, adding, “I really enjoy to see the transformation of the space, to realize the difference between the before and after.“
When asked about her most unusual project, the designer says: “I think the exhibition spaces and trade-shows are the most unusual ones, in living spaces I can’t have the same projection of my wild ideas.“
Regarding her inspirations, it comes naturally from daily life and the details around all of us. She believes that it is also very important to rest and relax, otherwise, it’s easy to lose the source of this simple inspiration.
Regarding favourite materials, she loves to work with wood, stone, metal, silk, wool and mostly – velvet!
When it comes to international events, Maison et Objet and High Point Market is one of the most inspiring trade shows, which is at the same time very informative.
Victoria Vlasova believes that one of the most important aspects for the future interior design trends will be the functionality of the interior items. Also, the production costs optimization and the 3D printing will have an impact in the future.
When it comes to her favourite interior design styles, the designer loves the Neoclassic, contemporary classic style.
