The Soothing and Relaxing Jisu Chalet by Jorge Cañete!Saturday 14 December 2019
Jorge Cañete, from Geneva, is an interior designer who has the advantage of having quite the complex multicultural background. This allowed him to have a lot of contact with different cultures and benefit from the know-how of the way they handle interiors. CovetED will be binging you a perfect example of this versatility that the designer has towards interiors.
The Jisu Chalet by Jorge Cañete is the perfect example of a retreat place everyone living in the big city has dreamed about at least once. The main feature is its all wooden revested interiors that immediately transmit a peace sensation very allusive to the concepts that many civilizations in the Eastern area of the Globe stand for.
The presence of natural light is very evident, allowing for a glowing scenario that sticks with the person who dares to venture into this lovely home. Throughout the home, one can easily find a couple of elements set in a minimalistic and zen-like fashion.
Jorge Cañete also took a remarkable inspiration from the hygge decor style. This is seen by the presence of many natural materials in some of the rooms. Aside from the wooden display felt throughout the entire interior of the home, it’s also remarkable that there are natural fabrics and furnishings. The presence of green elements throughout parts of the home like the bedroom, the kitchen and other strategical places allow for deeper contact with the elements of nature.
What makes Jorge Cañete stand out both as professional and as a designer is the fact that he manages to successfully mix the talent with his philosophy, and have an influence on his projects thanks to his sharp sense of beauty. One of the main factors that inspire his style has to do with the environment, the location, and also the client’s personality. In the case of this project, we can tell that the customer wanted a quiet sanctuary where he could relax and escape the busy rhythm of the city.
