Dutch East Design has the ability to create the most incredible settings, with a focus on several aesthetic, cultural, social and operational aspects of the challenges they take on. One of the best examples of this is one of the hotels in which they handled the interior design and gave it a whole new and fresh take. CovetED has checked into this amazing hotel and will be showing you the unique design result in its lovely interiors.

Built within the heart of Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, The Journeyman Hotel has 158 guest rooms, a ground floor bar/restaurant, a lovely rooftop lounge, and even a ballroom. For this project, Dutch East Design has provided services such as interior design, branding and naming, and the final result still shows.
“The lobby is both raw and welcoming” in the words of Dutch East Design. The people taking a quick visit at this area will be crossing through a polished concrete floor imprinted with an ornate Victorian pattern. In this wintertime a fireplace is a welcoming element, so with that in mind, you can take advantage of the fact that there are built-in benches for you to sit and enjoy the heat.
When it comes to the rest of the hotel decor, Dutch East Design has compiled an eclectic mix of various furnishings and a layering of textures and finishes spread throughout different rooms. The accessories and decoration elements have a couple of Milwaukee elements to them that only some will be able to catch on.
This is one among many projects that come off as an example of the way that Dutch East Design has a multi-disciplinary approach to every challenge they take on. The types of ambiences they tackle are regarded for artistry and technical precision, compiling a set of factors that sum up the best of New York’s usual style. The company is also famous for giving many of their clients some unique and provocative brand strategies and visual identities which is something definitely noticeable in this project.
