Simple Ways to Create A Glamorous Dining Room ⇒ Let’s talk about dining rooms! Whether you use it daily, occasionally, or even rarely, we all must admit that having a glamorous dining room can make a huge difference in a house, even if, solely from a visual perspective. After all, a dining room is a multifunctional room where you welcome your guests, catch up on the daily news, or even gather around the family for the traditional Sunday roast. The question is – how could you make your dining room more than just a functional space, but turn it into a glamorous compartment where people gather around for more than just a sit-down? Luckily for you, CovetED has all the tips!
Adjectives such as glamorous, chic, or sophisticated can never derive from a cluttered, or overaccessorized living room. Rather than stuffing your living room with several statement pieces choose only a few that you really love and combine them with more simple lines. The same goes for colour, textures, and details.
A glamourous living room lives from the balance between what you allow to stand out and what you decide to use a backgroud element, paired with luxurious materials, fabrics, and themes.
Still, a minimal and glamorous living room can still be bold. A great example of this can be seen in the photo above. The Empire dining table symbolizes generations of gatherings and decisions, both in times of celebration or tension. Its cracks reflect tough times, revealing a gold interior in a manifesto towards power. Visually, it is empowering but also elegant.
In order to create a glamorous living room you need minimal spaces, but you also need pops of colour, or in this case, eye-catching textiles in order to give the space a more eclectic and glamorous look rather than simple and dull.
Give your dining room a custom look by using different types of textiles such as pillows, cushions or upholstered stools. A unique looking rug on the floor is another easy yet instant way of creating visual intrigue. The unusual fabric will inject your room with a unique element and will personalize your space. If you happen to have a sofa or chair near your dining room you can also just add a textural throw over it to give it that extra cozy and luxurious feeling.
Whenever we try to create a glamorous living room we can fall into the mistake of making it look too minimal. A great way to break this off is by introducing a few uniquely shaped pieces that paired with straight and circular lines in the rest of the room can really make everything else look more dynamic and glamorous.
Examples of this can be a tree-root coffee table or an unusual side chair. The beauty of pieces like this is that they will feel almost like a piece of art in your living room, adding an unexpected and artistic component to your living room design.
If there is one material that can almost instantly make any room, or dining room, more glamorous is marble. This noble material is minimal, yet striking; raw yet polished.
The beauty of marble also comes from the fact that it can be easily used in combination with other materials. – Combinations of marble and wood are very common, but you can also just stick to the marble alone for a more sophisticated look.
Another great way to make anything look even more glamorous is by using black marble instead of white. Though more difficult to combine as its dark hue can make the room feel a little heavier, when used with wisdom, this noble material can elevate any living room into a more luxurious and glamorous ambience.
The best part about marble is that it has no style restriction. It’s timeless and always look beautiful.
