One of the most striking moments in fashion happened at Milan Fashion Week, at Versace’s Spring 2018 show, Donatella shut it all down with a supermodel reunion of epic proportions. By bringing back Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni, and Helena Christensen. The presence of these strong names to walk with the new faces of the moment mark the right position in the fashion that defends that age doesn’t dictate style, and the runways should reflect a strong and elegant woman.
The Cast of ‘Moonlight’ gets a Calvin Klein Campaign

The cast of Moonlight did the new campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear. The film’s stars Mahershala Ali Ashton Sanders, Trevante Rhodes and Alex Hibbert all landed a spot in Calvin Klein’s new black and white ads for Spring 2017. In this campaign they proved to be much more than a group of talented actors in the cinema, producing one of the most well-spoken campaigns of the year. The photographs were captured by Willy Vanderperre, mark the first major fashion campaign for all four actors.
Rihanna Wins the Met Gala Theme
The annual Met Gala is one of the most important events in fashion. For the past two years that she’s attended the Met Gala, Rihanna has been a winner. Rihanna is already known by the public for her irreverent and elegant style, for risking and for her fashion sense. The Met Gala could not remain indifferent so she graced the red carpet in a badass flower bomb of a dress from the Comme des Garçons fall 2016 collection, meticulously cut from jacquard florals to create three-dimensional petals. She was one of the most admired celebrities on the internet and by the voices of the fashion industry. Rihanna has the style and the attitude to wear it so well, making her presence at the annual Met Gala one of the biggest fashion moments from 2017.

The Women’s March Hits the Runway

At NY FW Linda Sarsour, Tamika D. Mallory, Bob Bland and Carmen Perez opened the show for designer Mara Hoffman by sharing the Women’s March. More than showing the point that the women should be confident, and determined, the organizers of the historic Women’s March gave voice to all the women in the world who in some ways still have no decision-making power over their lives. In Hoffman’s words, inviting the organizers was a way to demonstrate that fashion and politics can converge ” This is the chance to show that there can be a cross-section of fashion, politics, and activism in the name of social justice and women’s empowerment. These are necessary things for all people.” It was an excellent opportunity to pass on the message of unity, strength, commitment and diversity.
Kaia Gerber Makes Her Runway Debut

One of the biggest fashion moments from 2017 was the 16-year-old rising model Kaia Gerber, just four days since reaching the legal age limit for models walking on the catwalk followed her mother’s footsteps and has officially made her big runway debut during Raf Simons’s Spring 2018 show for Calvin Klein, during the New York Fashion Week. Kaia proudly showed her natural talent to hit the catwalks, elegant and graceful leaving all the fashion creatives excited about her beauty.
Saint Laurent Stages a Show Under the Eiffel Tower

Saint Laurent’s spring/summer 2018 collection was unveiled underneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris during the Paris Fashion Week, was undoubtedly one of the most graceful moments of the year. Anthony Vaccarello chose the iconic landmark as the destination for his show, celebrity names such as Lenny Kravitz, Robin Wright, Courtney Love and Kate Moss. As for the collection, it was a mix of dramatic pouffe silhouettes embellished pieces, and leather mixed with lace. Vaccarello also paid tribute to Yves Saint Laurent brand co-founder Pierre Berge, with a quote from a letter Berge wrote to Laurent “Maybe this is crazy love. The love of two madmen.”
