Alessandro Michele Opens His Gucci Garden in Florence – Gucci is pushing the fashion-food concept to the next level this year. The fashion house is opening up a full restaurant and concept store, Gucci Garden, located in Florence, Italy. The Gucci Garden combines love, fashion, good taste, food all in one place. “It’s more like a bazaar; I love the variety of different things that are combined in an authentic and spirited way. I am very happy, I had fun setting it up and I think you can feel it’s a lively place. It’s a museum that is not a museum” Alessandro Michele.

The entry to the bazaar-like experience will cost 8€ and half of the ticket price will be donated to support restoration projects in the city of Florence.
The Gucci Osteria
There is a restaurant in the Gucci Garden, located at the Palazzo della Mercanzia between the Piazza della Signoria and the Piazza di San Firenze, the Gucci Osteria, helmed by Massimo Bottura. Internationally headed three-Michelin-starred and a longtime friend of Michele and chief executive officer Marco Bizzarri, Massimo Bottura has created a menu of iconic Italian dishes “The restaurant is a reminder that Florence has always been a centre of cultural exchange, particularly during the Renaissance” he said.
The Gucci Garden Boutique
Far from simply a museum, the three-store Gucci Garden comprises a boutique that carries exclusive ready-to-wear, the ground floor boutique stocks products exclusively designed for the Gucci Garden and not on sale in any other Gucci stores. The exclusive pieces will all feature a distinctive Gucci Garden label and come in packaging exclusive to the boutique.
The Gucci Garden Galleria
The Gucci Garden Galleria occupies the first and second floors of the palazzo and tells the story of the brand by. It’s an exhibition space, which displays clothing, accessories, artworks, documents and artefacts curated by Alessandro Michele and art critic Maria Luisa Frida.
“It’s a magic, almost mythical place, and it’s in Florence, which plays such a powerful role for this brand. It invites you to enter,” Alessandro Michele.
A homage to the city of Florence, the Gucci Garden expresses a love of hand-work and craftsmanship.
