Casa Decor Madrid
Casa Decor returns to Madrid between the 8th of June and the 5th of July, reminding us of the need for living in aesthetic, functional, healthy and exclusive environments. It joins all the best interior designers from Spain in a magnificent setting – Calle Velázquez 21. You should take a visit!
Salone del Mobile
The world’s largest and most important furniture fair was originally scheduled to take place from 21 to 26 April 2020. This year’s edition has been suspended until 13-18 April 2021. We can’t wait to come back and feel the true spirit of Salone del Mobile Milano.
PAD, pioneering event for Art and Design aficionados and collectors, has been reinventing for the past 24 years the Cabinet d’Amateur and the notion of eclecticism, anticipating the esthetic aspirations of its time. Originally scheduled to take place from 1 to 5 April, the fair has been postponed until 19-25 October.
London Craft Week
London Craft Week is another example of what, at its best, the world’s creative capital does so well – mixing glamour with cutting edge; heritage and contemporary and the commercial with the cultural. Originally scheduled to take place from 27 April to 3 May, the event has been postponed until 30 September – 8 October.
Light + Building
Innovations in lighting and building-services technology should have gotten the limelight March 8–March 13 at Messe Frankfurt, but Light + Building has been pushed back to September 27–October 2.
One of Asia’s premier design events, the seventh instalment of Design Shanghai, spanning the contemporary, classic and luxury, collectables, kitchen and bathroom, workplace, and new materials and applications realms, has moved from March 12–15 to May 26–29 at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
Architectural Digest Design Show
This expansive showcase of furniture, accessories, lighting, kitchen and bath products, peppered with seminars and culinary demonstrations, has been rescheduled from March 19–22 to June 25–28 at New York’s Pier 94.
Design Miami/Basel and Art Basel
Design Miami/Basel and Art Basel, originally scheduled to take place in June, now won’t happen until this September. A statement released by Art Basel at the time of the announcement read: “This decision was taken in close consultation with a wide range of gallerists, collectors, partners, and external experts, with the goal of both protecting the health and safety of our community, and ensuring that the fair will be attended by the largest possible number of collectors, curators, and arts professionals from our global network.”
As covered by AD PRO on March 17, NYCxDesign is no longer happening, but select events and programming will be held this Fall. Originally planned for May 12–20; now scheduled for October 2020.
