June is a great month to discover the latest news and trends in industries like design and architecture as many countries around the world, from Rotterdam to Tokyo, host a wide variety of events that seek to promote creativity, design and craftsmanship at the finest level. Design District – 5-7 June – Rotterdam
Design District is the best interior design trade event in the Netherlands. During 3 days, over 10,000 m² is filled with presentations from the finest 200 interior brands. But Design District is more than a usual trade fair. You can also see exhibitions of design academies and presentations of young designers, and follow one or more lectures. The event has always taken place in special and historical venues such as the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, the Van Nelle Factory and the Hembrug site in Zaandam. Design District has become the leading design trade event in the Netherlands. The 16th edition of the trade event is scheduled for 5, 6 and 7 June 2019 at the Van Nelle Fabriek in Rotterdam. Design Miami/Basel – 11-16 June – Basel
Design Miami/ is the global forum for design. Each fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. Occurring alongside the Art Basel fairs in Miami, USA each December and Basel, Switzerland each June, Design Miami/ has become the premier venue for collecting, exhibiting, discussing and creating collectable design.
LA Design Festival – 20-23 June – Los Angeles
The LA Design Festival honours our city’s rich design culture and celebrates our status as a global design capital. Their definition of design is purposely broad to ensure that the festival is reflective of LA’s diversity and talent. The Festival is the only citywide festival of its kind, featuring events throughout LA. From architecture and interiors to graphic, industrial, fashion, set, costume, and experiential design, the LA Design Festival showcases the best of the local design scene as well as some exciting national and international voices. San Francisco Design Week – 20-29 June – San Francisco

DESIGN TOKYO is Japan’s leading trade fair for “marketable” design products. Only the products which passed a screening by a committee will be showcased. The show attracts key buyers coming in flocks to find new vendors and see what’s fresh in the design and lifestyle fields.
