For Maison et Objet 2020, Meridiani came in with a unique set of products displayed in a unique set up coordinated by designer and art director Andrea Parisio. For this collection, they introduced the expansion for both their indoor and outdoor ranges of furniture mainly defined by a unique selection of natural and soft tones for textures and finishes with small colour accents. CovetED will be showing you more about this unique concept.
For this new collection, Meridiani invested in a set filled with a rigorous architecture defined by the selection of natural and soft tones for textures and finishes where small colour accents stand out. There are two expansions. The first is the Open Air Range which celebrates a new way of living outside with a new set of products of a timeless style. The second is the indoor version that presents essential shapes, sinuous details and soft volumes homaging the pleasure of living, both inside and outside.
The first one is the Zoe Series (including the Wood version) made out of solid iroko wood, aluminium and rope weave. Available in four different colours – Chalk, Petrol, Elephant and Black – these sets of chairs are made from a skilful collection of outdoor materials. Not to mention that the armchairs have a padded seat and a precious hand-made weave available in two versions for the backrest.
We move on to the Tai Open Air chair effectively made out of polypropylene rope, inspired by mooring ropes for boating and supported by a painted aluminium frame. Depending on the version you opt for, you can enjoy a product that presents either a padded seat or a precious hand- made weave, available for both backrest and seat.
The Noa Open-air lounge bed is one of the most unusual products on this list, see that it’s inspired by many outdoor camp beds. Available in a fully woven version or with Batyline fabric seat, the bed comes with accessories such as the adjustable iroko coffee table, a mattress for better comfort, up to a pillow or bolster.
Iroko solid wood and concrete come to life with Joi Open Air tables. This consists of a collection of rectangular tables and square side tables which come in different sizes, accompanied with visually pure lines. It’s a resistant material thanks to its natural mineral components and organic fibres. The perfect component for an urban scenario stage.
Available in a modular sofa, armchair and lounge bed, the Claud Open Air collection stands out for its minimal design and soft cushions. All of them are made of solid iroko with protective varnishing as reinvestment. Thanks to its soft paddings this sofa represented above is the ideal element to have in a modern living room.
Lastly, we present you with two side tables: the Cone Open Air and the Bongo Open Air. The first is made out of fine natural mineral components and organic fibres, with a top made of iroko wood available with a square or round shape. The Bongo table, on the other hand, is a shorter product available in various sizes and lacquered colours.
