Unique Hospitality Experiences At Bungalow Hotel and Avenue Restaurant – Located in Pier Village, just a few steps away from the endless sandy beaches and the refreshing Atlantic Ocean, Bungalow is Jersey Shore’s only authentic luxury lifestyle boutique hotel. The stylish, beach-chic hotel opened its doors on 1st May 2009 and was carefully decorated by husband and wife duo of interior designers Robert and Cortney Novogratz.
The predominantly white rooms are spacious and cheerful and combine contemporary furnishings and accessories. They were designed with the purpose of evoking the seaside essence of the hotel.
The beds come with high-thread-count sheets, comfortable pillows and luxurious blankets. A kitchenette (sink, mini-refrigerator and several cabinets) occupies one corner of the room, whereas the other corner boasts a gas fireplace with a flat-screen TV above it.
The bathrooms’ design is modern and simply exquisite. The toilet (with a water-saving dual-flush option) is in one well-lighted cubicle, and the same can be said about the shower, in addition, the sinks are mounted on a tiled counter. Located in the main room, the “open-bath” is one amazing feature which is perfect for guests to relax at the end of the day in a super luxurious atmosphere.
CovetED Magazine also had the chance to delightfully experience the Avenue Restaurant, a spectacular dining venue located nearby the hotel.
A “sexy” and “French Riviera” vibe draws people to the luxury French seafood scene in Long Branch. The concept around Avenue emerged as the modern answer to a blend of Parisian brasserie and luxurious beaches of Saint-Tropez on the Atlantic beachfront. The restaurant has brought Savoir-Vivre to the Jersey Shore with its dramatic high ceilings, banquettes in an oceanic palette, pearl coloured marble tiles that shimmer under the light, and a 25-foot bar.
The menu curated by Executive Chef Joshua Sauer is sophisticated and classically French with emphasis on seafood. In the dining room, floor-to-ceiling windows provide mesmerising ocean views to guests.
From the appetizers to the main course, everything was undoubtedly well-made, we were able to taste a game of different flavours that were perfectly blended, without overpowering our senses. All the ingredients were fresh, which is something that is rather important for the Executive Chef.
Pastry Chef Stuart Marx crafts beloved French desserts, like the Warm Apple Tarte Tatin; the Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème; and the Crème Brulee turned up a notch with black currants and lemon madeleine. However, the greatest highlight when it comes to deserts is, without a shadow of a doubt, the coconut cake, a dessert so Light yet so tasty that a person is completely swept off their feet. This special sweet only used to be made during summertime, but it got so much praise that it became a permanent and scrumptious option in the dessert menu.
