With offices in Portugal and Singapore, Viterbo Interior Design is a leading interior design family company whose success is based on the genuine effort to deliver a unique creation in every single project they work on. For the past 40 years, the firm has been nurturing a creative talent that combines their clients’ needs and boundaries with the designers’ own goals and design skills to exceed everyone’s expectations. This success has already crossed the national frontiers and Gracinha Viterbo features a bit all over the world.
Over the years, the group has worked hard to enhance their customer’s experience through a highly customised approach and a strong commitment to their lifestyle vision, which is perfectly reflected in the present project.
With the belief that every home tells a story and every space is a moment, this house is all about creating lifestyles and writing stories through spaces.
The apartment is an eclectic mix of myriad styles, colours and textures and is a treasure trove filled with the avid collector´s art, furniture, fabrics and coral.

The contrasting colours and textures of overlapping carpets, rough raffia against the luxuriant emerald green of a Diane Von Furstenberg Climbing Leopard Rug juxtaposed with a neutral cream, adds depth to a flat surface. The layering of cushions is custom made using antique fabrics, ikats and an assortment of other materials such metal studs.
In this home, Gracinha Viterbo turned what was originally intended to be one dining space into a room within a room, by carving out a second living area. The child´s rooms are fun, comfortable, but functional and systematic at the same time.

Nothing in this eclectic home matches in the conventional sense of the word but the deliberate dissonance results in a captivating and harmonious effect.
This project reflects the unique lifestyle and personality of the client. However, it was left space for the story to be continued, so that the clients are able to keep “writing the never-ending story”.
