It all started with Rue Monsieur Paris, a French luxury furniture company that was looking for a new art of fine living in contemporary interiors. Let’s learn more about Marjan Denkov and Marcin Kokowski’s latest project – L’Appartement – a space where every corner was conceived to highlight the brand’s creations and where the finest handcrafts and creativity meet contemporary comfort.
Designed by Marjan Denkov, L’Appartement by Rue Monsieur Paris is an exceptional space where art, design, lights, music, and scents create unique and one of a kind experiences and where elegance and simplicity of forms predominate.
This contemporary set up of a true living space is a result of an organic, geometric and minimalist design approach. The visual illusion of the photography works, the paintings, the mirror reflections and the view of the Seine riverside and the nearby Eiffel Tower, will transport you to another level of visual sensation and go as far as the visual presentation allows.
Many natural and artificial light sources, guarantee different ambiances at every moment of the day. All lighting pieces were designed by DelightFULL, an European lighting design company with a unique mid-century modern style.
Meet the living room. The space revolves around a striking Moonlight Kaleidoscope Coffee Table in marble marquetry and Altoum Single Seater in wood and resin, both by Rue Monsieur Paris. The mid-century modern white floor lamp, by DelightFULL, is placed beside the sofa, in order to be the perfect reading light and to give the space a contemporary feeling. The royal blue rug in heavy silk was designed by Classic Rug Collection from New York and it was handmade in Nepal. Even the radiators are designed especially for this space by Denkov and custom made by Zavar Design. Those unique pieces such a monumental socialistic sculpture or cathedral organs impress with their imposing presence.
Simple yet elegant details are this apartment’s biggest secret.
The ceiling lamp in the dining room was carefully chosen to give the space a strong visual presence and romantic soft light.
The office desk in the study is the remarkable T table by Dsignedby, an example of architectural and aesthetic perfection in brass, Corian and wood, winner of a gold A Design Award 2015.
The outstanding mirror Rive Gauche console (Rue Monsieur Paris) stands out by itself and the unique Atomic wall lamp, (DelightFULL), is the perfect complement for this space. Home fragrance by Dr. Vranjes Firenze gently wraps the space in white fig fresh crisp notes.
The apartment’s corridor has a certain mystery feeling achieved through the amazing lighting effect created by the Coltrane wall lamps.
Heading to the bedroom… The wall fabric works as the bed’s headboard and the golden and black extendable wall lamps give the final touch of elegance. The room is dressed with the finest French fabrics from Lelièvre and Thevenon. Final touches by Magbé Camara, official palace hotels bed & bath linen supplier and Dr. Vranjes Firenze home fragrances.
