Venice Will Welcome the Third Indigo Hotel in Italy! – InterContinental Hotels Group, one of the largest hotel chains in the world, has just announced the signing of Hotel Indigo® Venice – Sant’Elena. It will be the third Indigo hotel to be signed in Italy and will operate under a franchise agreement with H.n.H. Hotels & Resorts S.p.A.

With the opening scheduled for 2019, Hotel Indigo Venice is located next to the Rio Sant ‘Elena canal, a short distance from the Castello district, 15 minutes’ walk from St. Mark’s Square.

The Castello district is one of the quieter areas of Venice and is still inhabited by the locals, allowing guests to enjoy an authentic Venetian experience, exploring the local shops, restaurants and historical architecture for which the district of Castello is known.

Transformed from a former convent built in the 1930s, the 77-room Indigo Venice – Sant’Elena Hotel will be made up of two areas that are joined in the center of the unit by an old chapel.

The hotel features an interior courtyard and large, high-ceilinged windows that will draw inspiration from the local neighborhood and the existing architecture.
