A former industrial building near the incredible Beijing’s 798 Art Zone is now occupied by a new photography studio designed by 123 architects, and will completely catch you off guard with its beauty. The building supports two different features allowing people to gather socially, with a space for special guests and events, and the main theme, a functional photography studio. “Masquerade”, the studio’s name is a reference to the drastic changes made to the original architecture, which include a futuristic silver brick façade that peels away from the initial surface. Follow CovetED, we want to tell you more, prepare your eyes for this awesome and inspiring pictures!

A surreal, futuristic and bizarre environment resides through the studio’s unique design. The references to the building’s original design are evident with the bold arched cut-outs throughout the interior, that is a reference to the classical architecture as well.

We are hit by an air breeze when we walk through the entrance seeing coral and sea-foam green predominant hues, the white walls accompany us as we continue to walk. The photo studio is a double-height space that connects with other rooms through the arched cut-outs. From the second floor, a balcony overlooks the studio being dedicated to a lounge and workspace.

Throughout the whole building, we can see many design details that provide a human touch to an evident – lighting that dots the walls in the dressing room, star-shaped pendants hanging from the ceiling, cloud-like furnishings, disco balls, and an installation of convex traffic mirrors, to name a few.
