Romantic and organic energy, new design esthetic
This time, Design Gallerist selects a set of unique pieces, contemporary and with a new romantic and organic energy.
LIMITED EDITION SIDE TABLES BY VINCENZO DE COTIIS
Vincenzo De Cotiis creates transformative and organic pieces that surpass both time and beauty with coffee tables that resemble neo-romantic pools of water, contorted metal light fixtures shaped like twisted branches and table bases rooted like stumps of trees.
“The artist references and reinterprets art with just as much emphasis on the design process as the end product. As a result, Vincenzo De Cotiis creates unique, contemporary and highly aesthetic pieces that simultaneously work as pieces of furniture as well as sculptural art.”
FUR COCOON BY CAMPANA BROTHERS
The Campana Brothers have softened their original fibreglass Cocoon, from the Milan Objets Nomades, with short-hair lambskin upholstery. Suspended on a steel and brass hook, the pod envelops sitters in plush cushions.
Like the Blossom stool, the Cocoon evokes the idea of a natural metamorphosis—really, the best sort of journey, where the end is a new beginning. It is also included at Louis Vuitton installations / Objets Nomades
Today, Louis Vuitton presents an installation composed of its most emblematic creations, some of which were especially made for Design Miami/: the Stool by Atelier Oi, the Cocoon by the Campana Brothers, the Bell Lamp by Barber & Osgerby, the Concertina Table, Chair and Light shade by Raw Edges, the Swing Chair by Patricia Urquiola and the Lounge Chair by Marcel Wanders. Louis Vuitton also unveils the Blossom Stool, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, and the Fur Cocoon by the Campana Brothers.
Sharing a sense of intuitiveness, desire, and pleasure, the Objets Nomades continue Louis Vuitton’s tradition of offering inspiring and surprising designs to clients all over the world.
RACKET CHAIR BY CAMPANA BROTHERS
Seating that recycles itself, RACKET CHAIR BY THE CAMPANA BROTHERS, in their Racket collection, combines bent brass, nylon stitched base, and a hand-stitched motif made from remnant backings of Thonet chairs, originally designed over a century ago.
NATE CABINET BY LISA BERKERT WALLARD
More often than ever, the process idea required to create something defines its purpose and character more than its appearance. Like the idea of reincarnation, the creative process is a journey in which ideas take different forms. It is the story of how our creations come to life and how they affect – and are affected by – their environment.
An example of an utmost level of both skill and imagination combined to create an exceptionally unique object that will stand out in any room. Monochrome expresses the vision of its time, but also wins temporality in each detail. This piece distinguishes itself through its good taste and a sophisticated touch, as well as by the urban and contemporary character of its use.
The mystic behind the name inspires Eden. This centre table represents a part of the tree of knowledge and the tale of the birth of desire. Boca do Lobo uses the highest quality materials and textures, giving them shapes through objects that create a cosmopolitan luxury environment, finding the finest example in this table.
Fully made of polished casted brass, with a delicately engraved top exposing the heart of a golden tree to the very heart of a home. Available a set of two centre tables and also an elegant and highly decorative side table.
The luxurious and bodacious Kelly sofa recalls the cool girl sipping Cosmos in the dark corner of a chic NYC lounge. Her fluid curves are harmoniously matched by sumptuously pleated waves of deep blue velvet upholstery. Her tell is a striking polished brass band hugging the base of her curvaceous body, leaving you constantly searching for a golden glimpse of her copious beauty.
ORGANIC BRASS CABINET BY WERNER NEUMANN
This brass or stainless steel cabinet is inspired by organic forms found in nature. It was established in the embodiment of atypical forms of materials such as brass and leather.
