The Architectural Digest Design Show took place during 16-19 March 2017 and counted with the exhibitions of Los Angeles-based interior designer Jason Mizrahi. In his first ever exhibition in New York, the designer showcased a fine collection of sculptural furniture, featuring two seating designs as well as a set of two accent tables, in addition to displaying the exceptional Denali Table. So today’s article will be dedicated to some of the compelling pieces that were showcased at the prestigious event by the proficient designer.
The limited-edition Belcanto has a solid wood veneer exterior and it is finished in black lacquer. Having a light, dynamic and fluid structure, this artful piece becomes a sight for sore eyes.
Venus Natural/Ebony Table
Available with either a tempered glass top or wood, the astonishing and pragmatic Venus Table comes in two versions, Natural oil or Ebony and is made from walnut or ash.
“Blurring the line between furniture and sculpture, Jason’s designs are compositions in minimal and fluid forms, defined by proportion, and unrestrained by convention. His pieces embody a collective balance of timeless elements rooted in art, architecture, and fashion. Jason’s exploration of new manufacturing techniques pushes the limits of materials to form unexpected shapes. His designs express the dialog between positive and negative space to yield forms that are graceful and, ultimately, timeless.”
