Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2016Monday 13 February 2017
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is an annual event that promotes the most impressive display of marine products and accessories. Owned by Marine Industries Association of South Florida and managed by Show Management, it is the largest in-water boat show ever produced. The exhibition space for the 57th edition had more than 3 million square feet and took place in seven locations, including the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Hotel Beach & Yachting Center and the Hall of Fame Marina. The spectacular event occurred from 3 to 7 of November 2016.
The greatest concept about the outstanding Boat Show is that it can be appreciated by the whole family as they can do entertaining activities, such as water sports demonstrations and participating in specialized seminars and workshops about fishing and boating, among countless others.
The event presented over hundreds and thousands of products from mesmerizing yachts to fishing boats of all sizes, to marine art, to jewelry and even exotic cars, along with numerous others. It also counted with the presence of exhibitors and guests from all around the world. Manifold exhibition spaces were redesigned or renamed, for instance, the Yachting Tent is now entitled Superyacht Pavillion. The overall space was amplified in order to fully lustre the spotlight of the excellent cruising and yachting services in America.
The popular Catamaran Cove, which was quite successful in last year’s edition, returned with a diverse variety of sail and power vessels from the leading builders of the industry, including the Hudson, the Gunboat, the Horizon, and the Leopard. All catamarans were held at the Pier 66 Marina.
The charter yacht Lady Lola from Oceanco was once again featured. This 63 meters beauty is mostly known for its tremendously poignant interior designed by Zuretti. Other famed yachts celebrated in the event were the Galactica Super Nova by Heesen, which is one of the fastest yachts ever built; Codecasa showcased Apogee, a 62 metres elegant and spacious design; the contemporary high-tech Just J’s developed by Hakvoort Shipyards was likewise emblazoned; and lastly, the electrifying Solandge which was created by Lurssen, and revered for its timeless exterior and bespoke interior.
Fort Lauderdale is the best location for a boat show due to the city’s recourses and based companies that provide the best services and support. It is also considered to be the yachting capital of the world, and for this reason, it is one of the finest places, on a worldwide scale, to manage all aspects concerning maintenance and provisioning. In addition, the weather is phenomenal to work and to have a pleasant time, especially idyllic for boating enthusiasts.
