Spring can be a garden full of mystery and the world famous interior designer Marcel Wanders presented to CovetED Magazine...
International luxury furnishings brand, Christopher Guy, came back to Salone del Mobile Milano after 3 years to introduce its latest designs. The new pieces were showcased on the company’s 200sqm stand in Hall 3, designed by its founder and creative director, Christopher Guy Harrison.
Building on the success of the Mademoiselle Collection, the concept for the stand continues with a 21st Century interpretation of Coco Chanel’s apartment, arranged as a series of four rooms, with furnishings and objet d’art designs on show inspired by Christopher’s extensive travels. In addition to the new furnishings collection, Christopher Guy also presents fabric designs from Kvadrat and lighting collaborations with Lasvit and BlackBody. The general concept of this show is based on the term ‘eclecticism’. This new collection represents a progressive work during the past year, towards a new direction into the future for the Christopher Guy furniture range.
The new designs are reflective of Christopher Guy’s sophisticated aesthetic, comprising of figurative sculptures such as ‘Muses’, to an extraordinary range of new mirrors and the launch of furnishings that include the ‘Cambré’ dining chair, with its patented “ Chris-Cross” legs. A range of natural wood finishes was on show.
Christopher Guy Harrison comments: We are thrilled to showcase 80 new pieces in Milan, to include striking accent décor that explores the on-trend fluid movement between modernity and enduring design. It feels very special to create pieces that reflect our ever-evolving, yet timeless designs, that continue to furnish many of the finest properties around the world
