Milan, a seething metropolis, is the home of Italy’s stock exchange, an industrial powerhouse and the global capital of fashion and design. The majestic Gothic cathedral, the Duomo, lies at the geographical heart of this former Imperial Roman capital and expresses the love of beauty and power that still symbolises the city today. From 4th to 9th April 2017, Milan will be the stage for the 56th Edition of Milan Design Week, the most important event in the world related to the topic of design. Hosting more than 2,400 exhibitors, a display area of more than 270,000 square meters and thousands of new products premiered at the event, Salone del Mobile (once known as I Saloni) is the benchmark trade fair on an international level, attracting more than 372,000 visitors from as many as 165 countries.

Milan Design Week is defined by Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, announcing the ultimate trends for the forthcoming year and featuring a series of events, exhibitions and presentations. Fuorisalone is the set of events and exhibitions that animate the entire city of Milan, featuring longer opening hours.
