Time Evokes Emotions with the Takto Timepieces by TeckellSunday 4 February 2018
Time Evokes Emotions with the Takto Timepieces by Teckell ⇒ Teckell is uniquely Italian. A design firm with a captivating story that unfolds in five chapters: Design Technology, Exquisite Materials, Product Collections, Artisanal Experience and Core Values. The brand combines high-technology, avant-garde design and renowned Italian craftsmanship perfectly. A fascinating page-turner that takes you inside the world of modern design and age-old traditions. Now, the Takto Timepieces by Teckell, a stunning collection of floor and wall clocks, take on the eternal challenge of man versus times.
Time evokes emotions in the hands of Teckell craftsmen. The Takto Timepieces divide into the Floor Pendola Collection and the Wall Pendola Collection, both with design by Gianfranco Barban and engineering by Alessandro Rigotto. The Floor Pendola Collection is composed of exquisite markers of time that proudly and elegantly display their absolute accuracy and advanced technology with a new and fascinating perspective on time. The transparent crystal cases are secured by marble bases and tops. Inside, the clocks’ precious inner workings are well-protected, yet seem to be floating in space.
Adagio‘s avant-garde technology is displayed in its details, such as the use of a diamond-like coating, important also for the luxury automotive market. This innovative carbon-based coating guarantees a high level of durability and low friction, which are fundamental aspects in any precision instrument, especially a quality timepiece. The Floor Pendola Collection comprises three versions of the Adagio model: Silver Wave (with base and top of brushed silver wave gray marble), Marquina Black (with Marmol Negro, a high-quality, genuine black stone marble extracted from the region of Markina, Basque Country, in the North of Spain) and Covelano White (using Covelano Marble, the hardest bright white marble in the world, characteristically run through with gold, silver or emerald veins).

In the Wall Pendola Collection, design and art cross paths in a new dimension, light and ethereal. These timepieces breathe new life into a space, becoming its focal point. Italian craftsmanship and technological wizardry combine in a timepiece that has revolutionized the art of clockmaking.
One of the models from the Wall Pendola Collection, Allegro is a wall clock which moves thanks to a mechanism made of brass completely milled from a solid. Two extra-clear crystal plates protect and showcase these inner workings. Allegro combines sophisticated engineering and maximum precision in a meticulously crafted and elegant clock. A drive weighing only 2.4kg provides the energy to move the 6.5kg pendulum. The spacers that separate the two plates are works of craftsmanship, created in extra-clear crystal, each separately constructed.
On the second wall model, Vivace, the airy minimalism of transparency gives way to the elegant, smoked crystal structure. This is the perfect backdrop for the 24K gold-plated mechanism, the clock’s sparkling touch. The finest Italian artisans mill the entire mechanism. A half-inch-thick disc of transparent crystal protects the timepiece’s inner workings while affording a clear view of the movements and the splendid colour contrasts. A highly sophisticated design object that will catch everyone’s eye.
Finally, Presto is the modern definition of time when the finest engineering and esthetics combine for a precious and perfect timepiece. Two transparent crystal discs surround a 24K gold-plated mechanism. Due to its spring-wound system, the mechanism is compact without sacrificing the precision for which Takto clocks are known. Original every time, nothing is left to chance when creating ingenious clocks like Presto.
