Vitra is a luxury brand with the most perfect outdoor collection for the Spring/Summer of 2019. The brand aims to link great designers, such as Antonio Citterio, Norman Foster, and Zaha Hadid, among many others, with the company’s technical and cultural know-how to create unique design products, whether it’s for homes, offices or public spaces.
In its amazing latest collection, the luxury outdoor chairs from Vitra line up around the dining table or find a home in the bedroom corner, but they are also suitable for outdoor use – whether on the balcony or in the garden. As soon as the time of year for outdoor life has come, simply take these luxury chairs outside.
Founded in 1966, the luxury outdoor brand Kettal has always had an intrinsic, intimate linking to design and especially innovation. Working with some of the most important names in the design industry, such as Patricia Urquiola and Jasper Morrison, to name just a few, Kettal is well-known for its innovative, unique and outdoor collections.
Vimini, an Italian word for wicker, is one of the latest collections to be released by the luxury brand, designed by the Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola. The name of the collections is also due to the sound of the word – Bimini, an Island in Bahamas Patricia Urquiola’s in love with. In this collection, it was used the right amount of outdoor wicker with a rougher wooden frame, according to the designer. It doesn’t have the same modernist spirit as the Basket but it’s familiar enough that, when you get close, it stirs a memory and makes you feel at home. That’s what it was, more or less—an object of memory.
With BREA, the designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have conceived an outdoor lounge system of quiet luxury and superior quality. Sophisticated and refined construction, together with an ingenious system of connectors, give the collection a modern profile and maximum versatility. Advanced cushion design in waterproof fabrics with a special covering of the core and elaborate belting on the frame bring indoor levels of comfort to the outdoors. The designers’ attention to quality and detail at every step is perfectly expressed in BREA’s aesthetic of elegant simplicity.
With the CARA armchair, Philippe Starck continues to explore the concept of “less is more”. The result of extremely lightweight, elegance and immediacy of communication stems from a lengthy process of research into materials and technologies, where the rigour of the classic silhouettes and the comfort of the seat meet and come together. The perfect combination of formalism and technological innovation, for an industrial art-house product that extends Kartell’s range of soft furnishings.
Suave Collection by Marcel Wanders for Vondom aims to transform outdoor spaces into an oasis. Blending the boundaries between the indoor and outdoor furniture, the interior designer achieves a higher level of softness, comfort and relaxation perfect for these warmer days. With the Suave collection, Vondom introduces a new incredibly resistant production method – injected polyurethane – and challenges a decade of production methods that placed the company in the roadmap of international design furniture.
At just a cursory glance, the Kobo collection, by the luxury brand Manutti, leaves a lasting impression on account of its seemingly classic design. Its technical complexity becomes apparent upon closer examination. The deep, plush seating with curved lines makes the 1-seater armchair and the 3-seater sofa extremely comfortable.
For Carl Hansen & Son, Bodil Kjær has designed a number of furniture pieces or, architectural elements – as she prefers to call them. Her aim was never to create sculptural statements but rather to find functional, economic, and aesthetic solutions. Do you think she made it?
The MOZAIX Collection by Kris van Puyvelde for Royal Botania offers a luxurious atmosphere in all circumstances! The very first collection of outdoor furniture by founders Kris Van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman was inspired by English colonial furniture from Asia. “For a brand to shine, its name must also sparkle. Royal Botania made classic teak garden furniture, which we sold with pride. A little too proud perhaps, because the quality proposed was not the one we are selling today. This first collection … This furniture was so heavy. Just for the eye, they already seemed too heavy. We sold everything in the blink of an eye, but directly invested in better quality.”
Tuuci’s technology thrusts have yielded important advancements in counter-wind force engineering found exclusively on the Ocean Master MAX collection. Tuuci’s new “V-MAX”™ Strut Design features a four-point profile which concentrates strength along the radial walls at precisely the positions where maximum wind-forces are applied. The “V-MAX”™ strut’s radically superior engineering reduces weight and provides a multi-faceted polished exterior for refined design appeal.
Amalfi is luxury during an evening with friends surrounded by a garden. Amalfi is relaxation around the pool while savouring a cocktail. This couch expresses its own elegance through pure and rational shapes with a high level of comfort and versatility. The pleasure of sitting is given by the soft cushions with removable cover and the two pillows with very chic edges. However, Amalfi is more than refinement and comfort: as allSmania outdoor furniture, it is functional as well.
Brabbu commits to the use of high-end materials to enhance its innovative design and emphasize the sensory experience throughout colours. Springtime refers to the idea of rejuvenation and quickly follows the fresh breath of summer. These two seasons are the inspiration to renew any kind of ambience. It isn’t difficult to decorate a house when all their products adjust to a modern or eclectic style.
An eye-catching touch to a big, bold and bright marquee letter design. A unique way of bringing a unique, colourful and cheerful touch to any exterior design project. With its stunning rainbow, neon effect, this versatile lighting design can be placed in the wall or on the floor. Coming with a large anti-reflective acrylic panel to protect the neons this collection has 1 meter and it’s handmade in acrylic and aluminium.
