The Most Iconic Projects
There are two the most famous projects of Kirill Istomin: Apartment a-la-Russe and Winter garden residence. The first one is decorated with wallpapers, furniture and fabrics from the United States. The place could be easily mistaken for a Manhattan loft, even though its location is in the heart of Moscow. Designer Kirill Istomin wanted to create a perfect living retreat for a family with two children, where the feelings of “sun and joy” would take center stage. Therefore, many fresh colors were used: walls and ceilings display juicy lime, soft lilac and ripe cranberries.
While winter garden residence has a green palette that makes this place very natural. The richness of the traditional interior decoration with a four poster daybed as the central focus of the room creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Other contributions
Mr. Istomin also writes a column in “Elle Décor” magazine. Rizzoli International Publications (USA) has released a decorator’s glossary illustrated by Kirill Istomin – “The Pocket Decorator”. The articles about Mr. Istomin and his work are regularly published in leading Russian and foreign magazines.
