Jonathan Adler is one of the most renowned interior designers in the US, having started his design journey through pottery. With a distinctive mid-century modern style, one of his best products if the Reform Credenza sideboard, that is inspired by the Brutalist architecture of modernist temples and churches from Le Corbusier’s Ronchamp to Miami’s Temple Israel to the Cathedral of Brasìlia. The signature pattern originated as a relief texture sculpted in our Soho pottery studio. The design is carved onto wooden doors and then clad in a single sheet of brass, which is hand-hammered and polished to perfection. The labour-intensive process takes eight to 12 hours per door.
Round tables are always the most inviting design: they welcome a small group or a large gathering on equal terms. The Harvest Dining table has a beautifully hand-carved hardwood top has a cerused oak finish, which was popular throughout the Art Deco era and frequently used by many notable mid-century furniture designers. Wrapped around the middle of the brushed wrought iron base is a gilt rope accent, an element that brings even more warmth to the scene, a classic touch of a Bunny Williams design.
This bar cart is a special design by Yabu Pushelberg for Stellar Works, being part of the James Collection. The James collection is an understated exploration of modern masculinity – at once bold and defined, but also light and elegant. The range includes a chaise, desk, stool and bar trolley, each one meticulously proportioned and ergonomically shaped.
Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a multi-award-winning Los Angeles-based interior designer renowned for his broad range of styles and eclectic, yet sophisticated and inviting interiors. Since Nate Berkus established his award-winning interior design firm at the age of 24, his approachable and elevated philosophy has transformed countless homes around the world. Recently he created a collection for Living Spaces alongside Jeremiah Brent. A highlight of that collection if the Laurel armchair. Nate and Jeremiah fell in love with the block printed pattern on their Laurel accent chair – it reminds them of travelling and the crafts they search for on their adventures. They designed this piece to be a modern version of a classic English form.

Designed for the fit-out of the Fondation Cartier offices in Paris, the Less range has become a major reference in the history of contemporary design. Jean Nouvel wanted to add a sympathetic furniture range to the architecture of the Fondation Cartier, which is distinguished by its transparency and dematerialisation, and so he proposed a silent furniture system that’s simply elegant, free of any rhetorical flourishes.
Citrus-squeezer in aluminium casting, mirror polished. A truly iconic object and symbol not only of Philippe Starck but of Alessi itself, this citrus squeezer – as revolutionary as it is surprisingly functional – was sketched in its essentials by Starck during a holiday by the sea in Italy, on a pizzeria napkin.
Alberto Pinto is a legendary figure in the world of decoration and interior design, built his great work upon the mingling of cultures, the eclectic and his relentless quest for the exceptional. Karim Rashid is one of the most prolific designers of his generation. Over 3000 designs in production, over 300 awards and working in over 40 countries attest to Karim’s legend of design. The Voxel Chair is a minimal, simple yet voluminous stackable chair that is faceted just in the perfect places for comfort, just in the right angles for hyper-strength, imbuing the correct creases for beauty, and just the few merging and converging lines for purity.
Perhaps best known for her playful and poetic yet functional designs, Patricia Urquiola is one of the most sought-after designers and architects of our generation. Through a unique approach to design, Urquiola creates new concepts and design by constantly reinventing and rethinking new ways to innovate. One of her best designs is the Fjord chairs, the chair becomes armchair and then stool. Its broken form and abstract concept together become an object of design: smooth lines that support and envelop are picked out in decorative stitching in harmony with the essence of the chair’s structure.

Bd was launched in 1972 as a producer of contemporary furniture with a piece that is now a part of design history: the Flamingo lamp by the Portuguese architect Siza Vieira. The current halogen version was introduced in 1985. The extraordinary thing about the Flamingo cannot be appreciated in photographs, nor even in detailed design plans. What distinguishes it from any other lamp is its use. Its unusual height, the quality of its light, the neutrality and apparent fragility of its variable and detachable structure, the mobility of its very delicate wings, all allow for unsuspected uses.
