South African celebrity interior designer Kelly Hoppen defines home as: “A home should be where you feel joy and happiness. It should feel like your own space, reflective of the spirit, life, and loves of the people who live there”. Now, she welcomes us to her fabulous new home. Let’s see her beautiful living space. Kelly spent 15 months turning a derelict auction house into her dream home.
She had a conversation with her energy consultant: “I had my energy consultant come around when I first moved in. He said he’d never been in a building that was so clear. The only thing I needed to do was put an amethyst in one of the downstairs spaces.”
Her new 100 collection pieces, which she has developed with US brand Resource Decor, demonstrates the key style and how she’s developing it. Along with the soft neutral colors of the upholstery, there are bold touches of rose gold, nickel, bronze and brass.

Kelly has meticulously planned her dressing room in order to make it highly enviable.
Of all the inspiring living environments Kelly has created, none is more dazzling than her home. Her master bedroom is defined by subtle textural contrasts.
Kelly’s self-designed soft furnishings create surfaces you would want to sink into. In a downstairs bathroom, there’s an incredible singularly tub with a pleated exterior. It feels like a 21st-century spin on classic Hollywood glamour.
