Learn how to add some Gold Elements into your Bedroom DecorThursday 25 July 2019
Gold is definitely a colour that’s easy to combine with more than one style of shade, which is why you can tell this is a very versatile colour in interior design. For the bedroom decor, this is not an unusual choice especially considering the quality and variety regarding the types of modern furniture which are currently available in the market. CovetED will be taking you through a little guide in order to help you in inserting some gold elements into the bedroom decoration.
Mixing gold and black is always a good idea if your goal is to enhance bedroom elegance. These are two colours that transmit an elegance to a division including a bedroom. Be it a piece that successfully combines gold and black, or even a small detail containing the golden pattern, there’s no doubt that an effective mix of both these tones is always a good idea.
Gold can also be a colour that can brighten up a room when applied to more evident details such as the wallpaper, the bedsheets or even the curtains. Aside from providing a unique elegance to a room, gold can also help enhance the brightness of a room especially in regards to natural light: it can favour an already bright division, as well as brighten up a darker one.
Gold can also be included in small details such as mirrors. The example shown above is the Apollo Mirror, inspired by the most important Olympian God in ancient Greece. The shapes, as well as the gold that fills the entirety of the piece, is due to the fact that it was inspired in the god of light and sun. Regardless of shape and design, a gold mirror is always a plus in an already bright room.
The previous rule can apply to both mirrors and lamps. A lamp revested in gold can work pretty well in the type of environment in which you have either a natural or a mid-century style of decoration. The decoration will be given a slight luxury touch thanks to the application of these small details.
Lastly, regarding kids bedrooms, gold is also a must in these types of divisions. Alike many decoration styles for adults, there are many gold elements in the furniture and decor for your kids’ room that will definitely look stunning when combined with softer colours (most notable basic colours soft for children such as pink, blue and green). This example just goes to show that golden is versatile regardless of the age of the kids.
