Our bedroom is the place where we rest and practice some self-care. In order to help us set that serene and peaceful mood its decor should reflect those same feelings. A clean, tranquil and restful environment is the best way to go.

Grey and navy are timeless choices and also great if you want to induce a calming vibe into your bedroom. According to Jonathan Adler, the best way to use this combo in a bedroom is to mix them with other neutrals – “five shades that play beautifully together are black, camel, grey, navy, and white.”

The best approach is to use these natural tones as your base in terms of furniture, paint, flooring, and rugs. After, you can start accessorizing; don’t be afraid to go a little crazy – add in bright pillows – Jonathan Adler’s favourite hues are coral, turquoise, and citron – and throw blankets in luxe textures such as velvet.
