Fashion Industry: Lily-Rose Depp in Chanel’s Amazing Campaign ⇒ Lily-Rose Depp, a teenager with very famous parents, didn’t even turn 18 and already signed her first contract with one of the biggest brands in the fashion industry – Chanel. It was announced in less than a week after taking part in Chanel’s casino-themed haute couture show in Paris and the first images are simply gorgeous.

CovetED Magazine would like to recall that the very first and popular muse of Karl Lagerfeld was her mother – singer and model – Vanessa Paradis, who was a Chanel ambassador for two decades! Young, 16 years old Lily-Rose is clearly following her footsteps and was signed by the same designer as a new face of eyewear collection. In the shot, she appears in a figure-hugging white dress as she models with sunglasses.
Mr Lagerfeld, who shot the campaign himself, said that he is amazed by her “baby doll face” and a character of a woman. “That’s a rare combination” he continues, “Lily-Rose is ravishing, she is a girl from the new generation with star qualities”. The collection is called Pearl eyewear and is due out in September. The press fully describes this video as a “baby doll in a world imbued with sweetness and femininity”. Lily-Rose made her modelling debut in a shoot last year for Australian fashion magazine Oyster – she was 15 back then.

Her mother also appeared in a perfume campaign for Chanel in 1991 when she was 18. Later on, she was also the face of Chanel’s Rouge Coco lipstick in 2010.

We can’t deny one thing – Karl Lagerfeld has a special talent for finding cool, fresh, and young stars. Depp is the most talked-about rising star in the fashion industry right now. It is clearly an amazing commercial move. Nevertheless, since the appearance of the video, her father, Johnny Depp was strongly criticized for letting her pose seductively. The couple, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, who split in June 2012 also have a son, John, known to his friends and family as Jack.
