Tom Dixon‘s event’s schedule will be rolling out for over 24 hours. It will be including breakfast at Le Drugstore, an SS20 Presentation at Publicis Cinema, Lunch at Assaf’s Granit new restaurant Shabour and even a couple of complimentary drinks on the rooftop of the Hôtel des Grands Boulevards.
Within each of the key locations of the event, the new collections PRESS and SWIRL will be put on display in each key location of the full initiative. Tom Dixon‘s event will even feature Paris-based florist Debeaulieu, who will create exclusive floral arrangements to complement with the new vases.

The main reasoning from Tom Dixon for this event in Paris has to do with felling from the routine of having a static stand at Maison et Objet. According to the British Designer: “We have enjoyed having a stand at Maison & Objet for many years, but it’s now time to be more mobile, to be more flexible and reach new and existing audiences in a different way. ‘24 Hours in Paris’ will allow us to maximise our time, pack as much fun and business into as short a time as possible and to react to the opportunities that this amazing capital has to offer.”
PRESS consists of a series of heavyweight grooved vases, bowls and candleholders. All of which are made of fat, chunky coils of pure and clear transparent glass. SWIRL, on the other hand, is a setting created from a series of geometric forms stacked upon one another. It’s manufactured through the use of a technique in order to create multi-dimensional, functional sculptures.
“In the coming months, we want to roll out ’24 hours’ not just in Milan and Shanghai but also London, Copenhagen, Bangkok, Nanjing and Melbourne…’” – Tom Dixon
